Bout No. 1 · Main Event
How we took a five-studio tattoo brand from stalled ads and unreliable ecommerce to a self-running operation that sells around the clock.
The Setup
American Tattoo Society had everything that matters in the ring: elite artists, real locations rooted in their military communities, and a following that showed up. What it didn't have was a machine to put that work in front of the world and turn attention into revenue.
The Google Ads account was throwing punches at the air, spending budget, tracking nothing, converting less. There was no ecommerce to speak of: no way to actually buy the brand, no social selling, no storefront doing work while the studio lights were off. And there was no content engine, so the best work coming off the needle every single day never made it past the studio walls. World-class art was being made and then disappearing. The internet never saw the shots land.
Great fighters were losing rounds they should have swept - not on talent, on operations.
The Fight
We didn't tune it up. We rebuilt the whole operation, corner to corner.
Branding. We sharpened the identity system into something that reads from the cheap seats, one cohesive look across every studio, every channel, and every shirt, so the brand hits the same whether you meet it in person or on a phone.
Google Ads, rebuilt from the floor. We tore out the broken conversion tracking, wired a real conversion path into a purpose-built landing experience, and relaunched campaigns that finally *counted the wins* instead of guessing at them. The account went from spend-with-nothing-to-show to a measurable, accountable channel.
Website redesign + headless Shopify ecommerce. A fast, modern site backed by headless commerce, so for the first time the brand had a store that never closes and never sleeps.
Merchandise, designed and launched. A full merch program built from scratch, including 12 new shirt designs, shot with lifestyle imagery that made the product something people wanted to wear, not just scroll past.
A content vault + a real social strategy. We built a system to capture artist work continuously and push it out on a schedule, turning the best pieces coming off the needle into a marketing engine that runs day after day, instead of a highlight that gets lost by dinner.
ATS AiOS. An operating system for the business, the connective tissue that keeps artists, bookings, inventory, and marketing moving without a human in the corner every single minute.
Signage + a graphics builder. Consistent, on-brand signage across locations, plus tooling to produce graphics at the speed the business actually moves.
The Decision
When the bell rang, the scorecard read differently.
The ad account went from bleeding budget to a tracked, converting channel. The brand went from no ecommerce and no social selling to a storefront *and* a content engine working around the clock. Twelve new designs hit the line with imagery to match, and the art coming out of the studios finally had somewhere to go, and something to sell.
We didn't just work American Tattoo Society's corner for a round. We rebuilt the fighter, then put the whole operation on its feet so it keeps winning without us calling every punch.
How Creative Champion turned a once-a-year tattoo weekend into a year-round operation, with its own platform, its own awards show, and a crowd that keeps voting long after the doors close.
The All American Tattoo Convention is Fayetteville's heavyweight tattoo weekend, artists, awards, standing room only. But a show that big was being run like a weekend. Booth sign-ups and payments moved by hand. The artist roster lived on a flyer. Promotion leaned on whoever remembered to post. And the whole thing peaked Saturday night and evaporated by Monday, once the lights came down, there was nothing to keep the crowd, or the artists, in the ring until next year.
A marquee event with no operating system underneath it, and no way to turn one packed weekend into a brand that works all year long.
We built the convention its own corner, a platform that runs the show and keeps the crowd engaged long after it ends.
A new website. A real home base for the convention, one place that carries the brand, sells the weekend, and points every artist, vendor, and fan in the same direction.
An online convention management system. The operational backbone: booth and artist registration handled online, an integrated payment flow (Stripe) so money moves without a clipboard, and a directory portal that puts every artist on the card into a searchable, front-and-center lineup.
A graphics generator. Self-serve, on-brand promo graphics so every artist can promote their own booth in the convention's exact look, feeding an admin review queue and pushing approved art out across channels automatically. The whole roster becomes the marketing team, and the feed never goes quiet.
The Collectors' Choice Awards. An online contest that hands the scorecard to the crowd: after the show, voters pick the winners online. It extends the event past the weekend, pulls the audience back in, and turns spectators into participants.
A new award design. A trophy worth winning, designed to match the brand and photograph like a belt.
New merch design. Convention merchandise that turns attendees into walking billboards long after they've left the floor.
When the bell rang, the convention wasn't a weekend anymore, it was a year-round operation with its own platform. Registration and payments run online. The artist directory became a marketing asset instead of a flyer. A self-serve graphics engine turned every artist into a promoter. And the Collectors' Choice Awards gave the crowd a reason to stay in the ring long after the doors closed, voting, sharing, and counting down to the next one.
We didn't just promote the fight. We built the arena, ran the box office, designed the belt, and gave the fans a say in who takes it home.
How Creative Champion gave a medical-grade tattoo aftercare brand a voice that works both sides of the needle, clinical enough to trust, loud enough to cut through.
A great tattoo doesn't end when the needle stops. It heals, or it doesn't, based entirely on what happens next. Skin Reserve set out to own that moment: medical-grade aftercare built for healed work that lasts.
But a serious product needs a serious presence. Aftercare lives in a strange corner of the ring, it has to read clinical enough that someone trusts it on fresh skin, and real enough that tattoo culture doesn't roll its eyes at it. Get the tone wrong in either direction and you lose the fight before the bell. Skin Reserve had the formulation thesis; what it needed was a brand with a spine and a store that could actually sell it.
We built Skin Reserve to win on both cards at once.
A dual-register brand voice: One clinical, trustworthy register for the packaging and the label, the language that earns a place on skin, and one irreverent, tattoo-culture register for the campaigns. Same brand, two corners: credible to a dermatologist, respected by an artist.
Website + headless Shopify ecommerce: A fast, modern storefront on the same headless commerce backbone we run across the portfolio, built to convert and to scale as the line grows.
New Product Development: New products for tattoos & piercings is on the way and we helped with the packaging.
Skin Reserve went from a formulation thesis to a brand with a backbone, a look and a voice that hold up on a shelf and in a feed, and a storefront ready to sell the one thing every person in the chair actually wants: work that still looks like the day it healed.

How Creative Champion gave a small-batch Southern favorite a home online, so fans can find the tub, and the recipes sell it for you.
Danny B's had the hard part already handled: a seriously good product, a devoted following, and a reputation earned one white market tent and one Food Lion shelf at a time. What it didn't have was a home online worth sending anyone to.
Fans who wanted the tub had to guess where to buy it. Retailers who wanted to carry it had no clean front door to knock on. And a product this good, sharp cheddar, real mayo, no shortcuts, no weird stuff, no apologies, had no place on the internet to show what it can actually do. All that flavor and word-of-mouth, and no digital corner to put it to work.
We built Danny B's the whole thing, end to end, a site that carries his voice and does the selling when he's off at a market.
A new website, built from scratch. Brand-forward and unmistakably Danny's, the same Southern, no-apologies personality from the first scroll, so the site sounds like the guy behind the tent.
A store & location finder. Pull up your town, find the nearest Food Lion or local shop stocking the tub. It turns "where do I even buy this?" into a two-second answer, and quietly makes the case to more retailers to get on the map.
A recipe index. The move that turns a tub into a hundred meals. We put the pimento cheese, plus the rub, the marinade, and the Coastal Catch seasoning, to work with a recipe library that keeps people coming back, cooking, and buying the next one.
A wholesale front door. A clean contact path so new retailers and stockists can reach Danny directly instead of hoping to catch him at a show.
When the bell rang, Danny B's stopped being a local secret you had to chase. Fans can find exactly where to buy it. Retailers know how to reach him. And the recipe index turned the product into its own best salesman, every meal a reason to grab another tub.
Seriously good, and now, seriously easy to find. Y'all come get it.
